Ministry Serving Children and Teens (6 months - 18 Years Old)
Reflections, the youth ministry of Higher Level Worship Baptist Church, is a student led, parent engaged ministry that serves children and teens six months to 18 years old/12th grade. Our desire is to give our young people the spiritual foundation to serve God with their whole heart and to equip them with the biblical knowledge to share Christ with others.
Our young people participate in their own worship service designed to help them grow in their faith, connect with others, and to help them learn to serve Christ with all their heart, mind, and soul.
NOTE: Students 6-th through 12th grades participate in the adult worship service up to the message presentation/sermon. This allows them time to engage in worship through song and prayer. Prior to the message, the teens are escorted to their age appropriate classes.
Parent Involvement - Sign up today! The youth ministry is a teen led, parent engaged ministry. It is critical that parents avail themselves to ensure a safe and rewarding environment. A background check is required.
Ministry opportunities are noted below and training is provided:
Teachers (Sunday School and worship service)
Arts and Crafts
Class Room Monitoring
Ministry Program Planning (special planning team)
Adults must attend the orientation held by the youth ministry. Adults also receive a free CD of the Pastor's message on the days they serve in the youth ministry.
Birth - 5th Grades - Parents must sign their children in and out. Go directly to the child's classroom. before service starts and sign-in. We accept children up to 11:00 a.m. If it is after 11:00 am, please go directly to the main sanctuary and enjoy service.
6th - 12th Grades - Students may sign themselves in and out when they arrive in class.
Checking On Your Child/Teen
Feel free to check on your child at any time during the worship service. However, we ask that you do so discreetly, so as not cause a disruption.
IMPORTANT: Because we never know how God is working in the lives of our young people, please do not text, call, or pull your child/teen from service. If there is an emergency, please speak with an adult leader.
Parents must sign-out their child (birth - 5th grade). All children will remain in their classrooms until adult service is over.
Regular learning experiences are planned and lessons are reinforced with songs, drama, Scripture application, testimonies, and supervised activities.
Supervised fellowship occurs some time during service. It is a fun time of group connection.
All children (2nd to 6th grades) and teens (7th -12th grades) desiring to be baptized must successfully complete the baptism or firm foundation class. Until further notice, these classes will only be held upon request. Baptism Ceremony - held 4th Sunday at the 10:15 am service (or upon request). Contact Minister Leslie at or 404-314-4966.
Baby Dedication Ceremony
A Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to dedicate a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways. Babies 6 months-24 months may be dedicated, upon request. [Learn More].
